Vape tanks hold your vape juice in, allowing you to vapourize it and enjoy tons of flavour and vapour.
However, some tanks do it better than others. There are three things you need to consider before buying a vape tank:
- Size of vape tank
- Type and style of vaping
- Your gear
There are a lot of vape tank sizes you can choose from but, lately, 5 ml tanks have become the norm. Still, you can find tanks in sizes of anywhere between 1 ml to 10 ml. Vape tank type is a consideration that depends on your preferred method of vaping and there are several choices you can make in that department, as well.
We can divide tanks into three general groups:
- Cartomisers/Clearomisers – usually made from plastic and intended for early generation e cigs. Cartomisers only work with disposable e cigs, have small tank capacity (around 1 ml), and are not refillable. Clearomisers work with eGo style batteries and are refillable but tank capacity is limited (around 1.6 to 2 ml).
- Standard tanks – later-generation tanks evolved to keep up the pace with the increasing needs of vapers for more control and more vape juice. While basically clearomisers, these tanks can hold more liquid, meaning that they don’t need to be refilled as often. They usually have a 510 connection, which means they can be used in combination with high-end mods as well as with eGo style batteries. Airflow can be controlled with standard tanks so you can tailor your vaping experience (mouth-to-lung or direct draw).
- Sub-ohm tanks – this type of vape tank is really geared towards experienced users. They are called sub-ohm because the coil resistance of these tanks is under 1 ohm. Flavour and vapour production are both significantly better at these levels. However, not all devices are capable of powering sub-ohm vape tanks and you will need to get a high-powered setup or a box mod to fire them.
You will find most of these vape tanks right here on Vapelux. Everything from clearomisers and standard tanks to sub-ohm tanks and rebuildable ones (such as RDA’s – drippers and RTA’s – rebuildable tanks).
